How do Tracktainer notifications work?
Once a shipment is being tracked, Tracktainer continues monitoring the available shipment data.

When an important status or operational event is detected, Tracktainer can generate a notification so you don't have to continuously check the shipment manually.

Notifications can include events such as:

  • Tracking Request Received

  • Voyage Planned

  • In Transit

  • Arrived

  • ETA Changed

  • Gate-Out

  • Empty Return

  • Completed

  • Cancelled

What information can a notification contain?
Depending on the event, a Tracktainer notification may include:

Container Number

Booking Number

Carrier

Port of Loading

Port of Discharge

ETD / ETA

Route information

Container-level progress

Notifications can also provide access to View Full Tracking Details so the complete shipment record can be reviewed.

Do notifications replace the dashboard?
No.

Notifications are designed to alert you about important changes.

The Tracktainer dashboard and full tracking page remain the main places to review complete shipment information.
