What are Booking Alerts?
Booking Alerts are included in Tracktainer's collaboration and shipment-management feature set.

Their purpose is to:

keep relevant booking-related updates inside the same operational flow.

Why are booking alerts useful?
A booking can contain multiple containers, and the progress of those containers may not always be identical.

Keeping booking-related information connected to the same shipment workflow makes it easier to understand the overall shipment without manually combining information from different places.

Tracktainer already supports container-level progress within multi-container bookings, such as showing completed events alongside containers that remain pending.

Are Booking Alerts the same as shipment notifications?
They are related, but the current source material does not define them as exactly the same feature.

Tracktainer already has shipment notifications for tracking events such as voyage planning, ETA changes, gate-out and empty return.

Booking Alerts are described more broadly as keeping relevant booking-related updates within the operational workflow.

How are Booking Alerts delivered?
The source material confirms that Booking Alerts exist but does not define their exact delivery method or settings.

For now, we should not state that every Booking Alert is delivered by email, push notification, or another specific channel until that behavior is confirmed.
