What does Pending mean?
Pending means Tracktainer has received your tracking request but is still waiting for carrier data.
The Tracktainer notification explains that voyage details will become available once carrier data is received.
Is something wrong?
Not necessarily.
A tracking reference may be submitted before enough shipment information is available to provide voyage details.
Pending therefore does not automatically mean that the physical shipment has a problem.
What should I do?
First, check that the reference you submitted is correct.
Supported references include:
Container Number
Bill of Lading
Booking Reference
Tracktainer's product material confirms these three tracking methods.
If the reference is correct, you normally do not need to create the same tracking request again.
What happens next?
When usable carrier data becomes available, Tracktainer can update the shipment with voyage and tracking information.
If the reference cannot be matched or no carrier data is ultimately received, tracking may instead be cancelled.
