What can I see in shipment details?
Once tracking information becomes available, Tracktainer brings the available shipment information into a single tracking view.

Depending on the shipment and carrier data, this can include information such as:

  • Container Number

  • Booking Number

  • Carrier

  • Port of Loading

  • Port of Discharge

  • ETD

  • ETA

  • Transit Time

  • Route information

  • Transshipment information

  • Container-level events

For example, Tracktainer's existing tracking notifications combine booking information with the route and current shipment status in the same update.

Why are shipment details useful?
The shipment details page gives you more context than a single status such as In Transit or Arrived.

For example, an In Transit shipment can also show that the container departed Shanghai, is moving toward Singapore, includes one transshipment, and ultimately continues toward Rotterdam.

Can shipment information change?
Yes.

Some information, particularly estimated dates such as ETA, may be revised while the shipment is being tracked.

Tracktainer can show the previous and updated arrival information when this happens.
