What does In Transit mean?
Tracktainer uses In Transit when available tracking information shows that the container has departed and is moving toward another point in its route.

In one current Tracktainer notification, the container has departed Shanghai and is on its way to Singapore.

Can In Transit include a transshipment?
Yes.

The same notification identifies Singapore as a transshipment port and displays 1 transshipment within the route information.

This allows the tracking view to show that the shipment's journey includes an intermediate port rather than only displaying the final destination.

What can I check while the shipment is In Transit?
Open the full tracking details to review the latest available route, shipment reference, carrier, ports, dates and tracking information.

What happens after In Transit?
When Tracktainer receives information showing that the shipment has reached the Port of Discharge, the status can be shown as Arrived.
