What does Planned mean?
A Planned status means Tracktainer has received planned voyage information for the shipment
At this stage, you may see the expected origin, destination and scheduled dates.
The current Tracktainer Planned notification states that the shipment has been planned by the carrier and provides scheduled departure and arrival information.
What information can I see?
A Planned shipment can include information such as:
Port of Loading — where the planned voyage begins.
Port of Discharge — the planned destination port.
ETD — Estimated Time of Departure.
ETA — Estimated Time of Arrival.
Transit Time — the current expected transit period.
In the current example, Tracktainer displays Shanghai as the Port of Loading, Rotterdam as the Port of Discharge, a 24-day transit time, and specific ETD and ETA values.
Is the shipment already moving?
The Planned notification represents scheduled voyage information. Tracktainer uses a separate In Transit status once movement information indicates that the container has departed.
Can the planned dates change?
Shipment dates shown during tracking can later be updated. Tracktainer also has a dedicated ETA-change notification for revised arrival dates.
