What does Pending mean?
A Pending tracking request means Tracktainer has successfully received the reference you submitted, but voyage information is not yet available.

The current Tracktainer notification confirms:

Tracking request received

and explains that voyage details will be provided when carrier data becomes available.

Is Pending an error?
Not necessarily.

Pending is different from Cancelled.

With Pending, the tracking request is still active and waiting for information.

With Cancelled, tracking has stopped and further updates will no longer be sent.

What information will appear next?
Once carrier information becomes available, Tracktainer may be able to show details such as the carrier, route, ETD, ETA and voyage information.

A shipment can then move into a status such as Planned when the carrier has provided scheduled voyage information.

Can I open a Pending shipment?
Yes. The current Pending notification includes a View Full Tracking Details action, allowing the tracking record to be opened from Tracktainer.

What if it remains Pending?
If the request remains pending longer than expected, check that the reference you submitted is correct.

If tracking cannot eventually be matched or carrier data is not received, the request may later be cancelled. Tracktainer's cancellation notification specifically identifies these as possible cancellation reasons.
