Previous ETA vs New ETA
Understand how Tracktainer presents changes to an estimated arrival date.
Tracktainer
Last Update 9 dagen geleden
Why show both dates?
Seeing only the latest ETA tells you when the shipment is currently expected to arrive.
Seeing both the previous ETA and the new ETA tells you what actually changed.
Tracktainer's ETA-change structure supports this comparison.
For example:
Previous
14 Jul 2026
→
Updated
20 Jul 2026
Delay
6 days
This exact change is represented in the current ETA-change notification.
Why does the difference matter?
The comparison gives operations teams immediate context.
Instead of manually remembering the previous ETA, the update makes it clear that the expected arrival moved by six days.
Does a changed ETA change the shipment status?
An ETA update is presented as a Shipment update in the current Tracktainer notification.
It is therefore separate from overall statuses such as:
Planned
In Transit
Arrived
Completed
The shipment can continue through its normal tracking lifecycle while its estimated dates are updated.
