What is ETD?
ETD — Estimated Time of Departure
ETD represents the currently expected departure date shown for the shipment.
When voyage information becomes available, Tracktainer can display the ETD together with the shipment route.
For example, a current Tracktainer planned-voyage record shows:
Port of Loading: Shanghai (CNSHA)
ETD: 20 Jun 2026
Port of Discharge: Rotterdam (NLRTM)
ETA: 14 Jul 2026
Transit Time: 24 days
What is ETA?
ETA — Estimated Time of Arrival
ETA is the currently expected arrival date shown for the shipment.
Because it is an estimated date, it may change while the shipment is being tracked.
Where can I see ETD and ETA?
When the information is available, Tracktainer can show these dates in the shipment's tracking details alongside:
Port of Loading
Port of Discharge
Transit Time
Route information
Carrier information
Are ETD and ETA final dates?
They represent the current estimated schedule available to Tracktainer.
If the arrival estimate changes later, Tracktainer can report the revised ETA separately.
