What does Cancelled mean?
If a shipment is marked Cancelled, Tracktainer has stopped tracking that request and no further updates will be sent for it.

Your existing Tracktainer cancellation notification defines three possible reasons:

  • The shipment reference could not be matched

  • No carrier data was received

  • Tracking was stopped manually

1. The reference could not be matched
Tracktainer may be unable to associate the reference you entered with a valid shipment.

Check that your:

  • Container Number

  • Bill of Lading

  • Booking Reference

was entered correctly.

2. No carrier data was received
A valid-looking reference does not always guarantee that tracking information is available.

If Tracktainer cannot receive the required shipment data, the tracking request may eventually be cancelled.

3. Tracking was manually stopped
Tracking can also be intentionally stopped.

Once tracking has been cancelled, the system will no longer send shipment updates for that tracking request.

Can I still view the shipment?
The cancellation notification directs users to the dashboard for additional details and provides access to:

View Full Tracking Details

What should I do?
If you did not intentionally stop tracking:

1. Check the shipment reference

Make sure the container, B/L, or booking number is correct.

2. Review the tracking details

Open the shipment from your dashboard.

3. Try again if necessary

If the original reference was incorrect, create a new tracking request using the correct reference.

4. Contact Support

If the reference is correct but tracking continues to be cancelled, contact Tracktainer Support.
